VOLKSWAGEN HAD THE ANSWER FOR A COUPLE YEARS KNOWN AS "CROTCH COOLERS". THE NAME IS OBVIOUS WHY THEY GOT THEIR NICK NAME.IN 1951 AND 52 THEY INSTALLED THESE IN THE FRONT QUARTER PANELS JUST BEHIND THE FENDERS. NOW YOU CAN INSTALL THEM INTO YOUR TYPE 1 BEETLES, YOU CAN ALSO INSTALL THEM INTO GHIA, TYPE 2 AND 3 WITH MODIFICATIONS. |

CROTCH COOLERS STAINLESS STEEL GRILL MESH NONE POLISHED PAIR
One of the most sought after V.W. options are finally available!
They come complete with stainless grills, stainless springs, and seals with adhesive on them. These New Crotch Coolers can be installed on any year air-cooled V.W. Air-cooled V.W.'s with crotch coolers were installed on 1951 and 1952 Deluxe split-window bugs. My assemblies are the same size as the originals and made from 20 gauge sheet metal, just like the originals.
Please note polished steel grills available for an additional $50 for a pair.
